How much is available for the injured employee, what are their rights? What is “in the course of” or “out of” employment in the Workers Comp program? We’ll explore the “no fault” concept and look at the details of protection. Discussion of “Case Studies” will assist with the interpretation of benefits.

The instructor will be Gary Burden, who is Kentucky State approved and owner of Professional Training Institute out of Evansville Indiana. The cost of this 8 hour courses will be $80 and a box lunch is included.

Complete review of Life Insurance and Annuity Products including the taxation that affects these products.

This is a practical class that lays out some basic responsibilities to the agent and how the agent can avoid potential liabilities and problems. Areas that will be discussed:

What is errors and omissions, and how does it involve the agent.
How is liability established?
What is your liability to your client?
What is your liability to your company?
What are some of the things the agent can do to avoid potential liability?
Past case laws and examples.
Tips to follow in a liability situation.

This class includes many case studies which provokes much discussion and thought. It is a class that will get the agent thinking about how he does his job and what are some of the risks he is taking. More importantly the class is centered on what the agent can change in his work habits to avoid problems, which might be waiting to happen.

The BOP will make a comparison of commercial lines insurance with personal lines and will also compare the BOP with the Commercial Package Policy. The course will spend time mostly covering the eligibility rules and coverages available for the BOP

Life Insurance Basics Thursday May 11, 2000 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

This class covers some of the basic life insurance products. It is designed to provide a basic understanding of some of the most common products and terms in the life industry. This would be a great class for personal lines CSR’s who need to have some basic knowledge of the Life Insurance products.

The Life Basics Class is 3 CE hours and costs $25 per person
